Day 18 Cameron to Kirksville

Another missed wake up call. Great hotel service. Luckily we were awake anyway. The weather was forecast for thunder storms. After 1/2 an hour on the road we were told to rest up in a gas station for 1/2 an hour.

Mike with fancy i-phone looking at weather radar.

Just as we left there was a good lightening strike. However, this quickly cleared up and the temp reached 32 during the day.

The road was rolling and rolling with rather large climbs and reasonably steep.

Some horses that cam to visit during a break.

We walked down to dinner about 1 mile whilst the others either took the team van or ordered pizza in.

We had to take a detour today as there were two bridges out. This was told to us at the start of the day and was well sign-posted and added only about 1 mile to the trip.

Distance 122 miles in 6:55.
